It’s a rare occasion that there are movies that I intentionally avoid watching. S&Man (Sandman) is one of them. It’s not that it’s a bad film, the reviews for S&Man have been greatt. And while I’m not a ‘horror fan’, I do enjoy a good film, regardless of genre. No, I’m not avoiding S&Man because of the story or quality, it’s something else entirely.

You see, the guy in the trailer – Eric Rost – is actually a very good friend of mine, Erik Marcisak. In the film, he plays a snuff film buff who may or may not be a serial killer (I don’t know for sure, I haven’t watched the film).

The characterization he shows in the trailer is very much how I know Erik. The relaxed manner, the casual delayed laugh. it’s so close to the real Erik that it’s disturbing. I’m actually creeped out right now typing this.

But, what kind of friend would I be if I didn’t promote Erik’s movie. So here it is. If you see it, please let me know if you like it.

Unless you’ve been sleeping under a log for the past couple of months, chances are you’ve heard of Minecraft. (and if you haven’t heard of Minecraft – Penny Arcade is doing some Minecraft comics which will tell you pretty quick if it’s your sort of thing.)

YouTube has been a wonderful place to find videos of people burning down other people’s houses, or touring people through their creations, or in this can, a guide of what not to do:

Sometimes I think I have more fun watching Minecraft videos than playing the actual game.
