{"id":681,"date":"2009-12-11T13:58:18","date_gmt":"2009-12-11T13:58:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nrdland.com\/?p=681"},"modified":"2009-12-11T13:58:18","modified_gmt":"2009-12-11T13:58:18","slug":"fairwell-gentle-island","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/nrdland.com\/?p=681","title":{"rendered":"Fairwell Gentle Island"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow morning I will be boarding a plane for Vancouver to start working on NRD full time.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I am saying good bye to my home for the past two years &#8211; the gentle island of Prince Edward Island.<\/p>\n<p>Top 3 things I will miss about PEI:<\/p>\n<ul> <strong>The Beaches <\/strong><\/ul>\n<p>In the past two years, I have spent more time on the beach than in the entirety of my life before moving to PEI.  There are so many reasons:<br \/>\n&#8211; Being alone at 10AM on a gigantic beach was a regular occurrence.<br \/>\n&#8211; PEI is home to the warmest swimming ocean water in Canada.<br \/>\n&#8211; Quite simply, the beaches are unmatched in there beauty and serenity.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nrdland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/beach.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-683\" title=\"beach\" src=\"http:\/\/nrdland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/beach-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"beach\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nrdland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/beach-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/nrdland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/beach.jpg 604w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul> <strong><br \/>\nThe People <\/strong><\/ul>\n<p>Canada is well known for being friendly and PEI has to be the friendliest place in Canada (I hear rumors that Newfoundland is nicer &#8211; but I have my doubts)  I also had a tremendous opportunity to work in super-duper awesome people at Longtail Studios. Even on a frosty winter evening, the sunsets can warm you up.  Cheesy?
