For the next couple of months, The Detour (Canada’s version of [Adult Swim] is running the Pilot Project – 10 Canadian creators got a pilot green lit and the fans get to decide which show gets a season on Detour.

Angora Napkin has a lot of things going for it:
– Incredible visual mash-up style
– A mid-episode video for My Chinchilla by Cub – possibly my favorite song of all time
– The creator is Troy Little – a super cool guy from Prince Edward Island
– Zombies
– Oh and it’s absolutely hilarious

Checking out the nominations is not only a great way to find some new comics but also give a shout-out to your favorite comics.

This catches my eye for two reasons.

1. I’m a big Post-Apocalyptic fan.
2. My daughter is named Cassandra.

What if this movie is a huge success? It’s like all of the parents who named their kid ‘Logan’ and then the X-Men movie came out. Now, all of their kids are the butt of Wolverine jokes and it hits me especially close. I am still the butt of ‘Shane’ jokes. (if I hear ‘Shane. Come back!’ or ‘Why Shane?’ one more time…)

I’ve never been more torn in my life… I want it to be a hit because I want to see it in the theatre and I want it to never reach North American shores for the sake of my daughter.
