Some will know Nujabes from the theme song for Samurai Champloo.
Others will know them from the crazy video of Japanese people walking crazy in slo-mo.
So simple – so fun – so good.

Heroes Inc. is an incredible webcomic that has grabbed me by the throat and won’t let go. It is a story about a retired super hero who is collecting DNA samples from the forgotten and hidden heroes of WWII to assemble a new super team to fight super powered terrorists.
Oh – and it’s set in an alternate reality where the Allies lost WWII.
It’s got German WWII mech walkers, super powers, jet packs and ‘Huckleberry’ cell phones. How can I not fall in love with this comic?
The thing that really makes Heroes Inc. stand out for me is the quality of the writing. It reminds me a lot of Warren Ellis’ style five-six years ago and The dialogue is sharp, the pacing keeps you glued to the page and there are cliffhangers at every corner.
Chances are that if you are reading Petra’s Call, you are probably the kind of person that likes robots and super heros – and I’m willing to be that you’ll enjoy Heroes Inc.
I have a vested interest in all things Ninja, Robot and Dinosaur, but I have an amplified interest when they cross over.
While a good chunk of the Internet is continuing the long-dead debate of Ninja vs. Pirate, Excape Artist on Etsy has put together some amazing prints of Robots fighting Dinosaurs.
Sadly, the store is closed until December, but I know what’s on the top of my Christmas list now.
It’s sad that most people have no idea that incredible sci-fi jets like this one are flying – on earth – today. We are living in the future and nobody cares.
